Town Council Hosts Five Alarm Chili Night for Engine Company 69

The Topanga Town Council hosted a Fire Alarm Chili Night at Fire Station 69 on Saturday, December 29, for the local Topanga firefighters. “This was a small way to thank the guys who braved the recent Malibu fires and helped keep Topanga safe,” said Stacy Sledge of the Topanga Town Council. Rebecca Goldfarb, the Town Council Secretary, prepared organic hors d’oeuvres and fruit.

Karla Morrison, whose wonderful cooking graces dinner tables for many local organizations, offered home-baked goodies. Firefighters Carlos Muzquiz, Dave Shellenberger, Abe Serrano, and Dave Agerbeek gave rave reviews of the award-winning chili that was graciously prepared by The Rack in Woodland Hills. Sledge said, ”It was fun and relaxing and reminiscent of a Walton family-style dinner, with all of us sitting around a long table telling wonderful stories of Topanga.”
