How does an artist find the best painting angles on a lagoon filled with waterfowl; or a beautiful wooden bridge over marsh plants; or the surfer beach scene with incredible views of the mountains and the pier? These are some of the artistic opportunities available to artists at this month's Paint-out event, sponsored by Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and open to all artists, new or experienced, working in any media.
This month's event takes place at Malibu Lagoon State Beach, located at Pacific Coast Highway and Cross Creek Road in Malibu, on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Participants will meet in the parking area at 9:30 a.m. under the red flag and stay until early afternoon. Bring food to share with the other artists at a potluck lunch, your own art supplies, and some cash to cover parking fees.
